The Washington Project for the Arts (WPA) collaborated with Patrick McDonough to complete a series of awning studies. McDonough created a similar project in 2011 in Trinidad along Florida Ave, NE commissioned by Conner Contemporary Art.

that challenged the notion that folk art is primarily a product of rural life and can be found in

Now in its sixth year, the group show features the work of artists who either work or live East of the River. The multimedia exhibition features sculpture, digital media, photography and painting.  A steel drum band will also add to the festive occasion.

More than just an exhibition, Gabriela Bulisova’s Inside Outside forces the viewer to experience the human toll of incarceration.  Bulisova’s photographs transcend statistics and policies to present a qualitative narrative of returned citizens’ struggle for redemption.
