The Annual NEA National Heritage Fellowships Concert
Thursday, October 4th

Free
Note: Advanced tickets for this concert have all been distributed, however, stand by tickets are likely to become available

The 2012 National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellowships Concert is back in DC at Lisner Auditorium, it's been at Strathmore recently. This annual free event celebrates the nation's top folk and traditional artists and spotlights our country’s diverse traditional arts heritage. I've been to quite a few of these, and find this event to be rather educational as you get a chance to see, hear, learn about, and watch all kinds of art forms that you don't get to see or hear often, perhaps even some you have never heard of.

Note:  Though the advanced tickets for this concert have all been distributed, however, there will be seating available beginning 15 minutes before curtain. The NEA encourages those without tickets to arrive early to get in the stand by line and for those with extra tickets to kindly turn them back in to the box office so that they can be given out to those waiting in line.

Lisner Auditorium, at GWU
730 21st St, NW
Metro: Foggy Bottom is closest, it's about a ten minute walk or so from Farragut North or Farragut West
